Beauly Anglers Asked to Report Fin Clipped Salmon
Staff at the Ness & Beauly Fisheries Trust ask that anglers check any salmon they catch during the 2011 and 2012 seasons for missing adipose fins. The lack of a fin will indicate that the fish was one of a batch of parr released in the lower reaches of the Beauly in the autumn of2009. More details of what to look out for and what to do if you catch a fish with a missing adipose fin are shown in a poster available in the downloads section.
